The Department of Health, Bureau of Community Health Systems (BCHS) is seeking a Clerical Assistant 3 to serve as a lead worker for clerical work.In this position, you will support the organization’s mission of providing infrastructure for the implementation of core public health functions in a high-quality, effective, and responsive manner that will positively impact the health status of Pennsylvanians. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will assign work to clerical staff, review calls for quality, ensure accurate information is provided to the team, and assist with the training of new and existing staff on the BCHS call center’s 877 Team. You will also provide clerical support to the central health district, including maintenance of records and files, and assist with office management, such as office relocation duties throughout the BCHS. Other duties include logging calls to the health database, providing clients with referrals to community resources, ordering supplies as needed, and assisting staff with timekeeping. Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title);or
One year of moderately complex clerical experience;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
