As HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, reliable operations, and maintenance of the HVAC systems.  This role will work with the site engineering team, global engineering, and the Marietta maintenance team to implement the maintenance program for the HVAC systems at the Marietta facility.  HVAC systems include air handling systems, chilled water systems, heat rejection systems (i.e., cooling towers and heat pumps), heating hot water systems, humidification systems, dehumidification systems, and refrigeration systems (including temperature-controlled environments, freezers, refrigerators and incubators).

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

• Document the user requirements for HVAC systems and building automation sequences of operation.
• Ensure that HVAC systems comply with current good industry standards and GSK global engineering requirements.
• Perform risk assessments for HVAC systems to ensure safe installation, operation, and maintenance of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and qualification of HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems during startup and operations.
• Design individual components (Specifying AHU’s, coils, pumps, valves, and associated materials)
• Document maintenance plans and spare parts requirements for HVAC systems.
• Ensure that all documentation is complete and compliant with GMPs.
• Represent Marietta in meetings, presentations, audits, and inspections.

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate Degree
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Project Management

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

• Graduate degree or Advanced degree
• Ability recognize departmental resourcing problems and identify alternative resource options.

• 5+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Project Management

• Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen.
