Responsibilities
Peraton seeks a Software Engineer to conduct Vulnerability Management and Data Analysis in support of a JFHQ-DODIN mission, performing Information Environment software development & testing for assessments. Location: Fort Meade, MD.
In this role, you will work on a team with senior engineers to help design and develop applications, write code, and otherwise maintain or update a database.
Tasks include:
Translate system requirements into the design and development of customized systems in an agile environment
Triage and resolve operational issues, ensuring that mission-critical systems and services operate smoothly
Integrate testing efforts from agile sprint planning meetings to through sprint retrospectives to identify areas for process improvement
Support the integration and flow of data with data pipelines (e.g., Big Data Platforms (BDPs), Unified Platform, and JCWA)
Identify, track, and implement strategy for all relevant data sources for use with and to ingest DODIN Inspections (current and emerging) interfaces
Safeguard data during data transfer and storage
Ensure data integrity and accuracy during data processing and implement data encryption and secure authentication mechanisms
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD, Will consider HS+12 years of experience.
Have a bachelor’s degree from a program related to science and technology such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
Have experience and/or knowledge of software development, software design practices, and database structures
Have experience working with RESTful APIs & JSON
Have an understanding of version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket
Have three years of experience in software development/ engineering in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Current DOD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification
Active TS/SCI clearance
Preferred, not required:
DOD 8140/8570 IASAE Level II certification

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
