Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep the restaurant and equipment clean and organized.
Essential functions and responsibilities include the following:
Load, run and unload dish machine.
Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
Monitor dish machine water temperature and sanitizer levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
Keep dish room clean and organized.
Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
Bag and haul trash to dumpster at designated times.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the dumpster zone.
Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the
restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef or other Manager on duty.
Proper knowledge of health code for washing procedures for both the kitchen and hygiene methods.
Notify manager(s) on duty if emergencies arise.
Open to assisting the prep cook during down time.
Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Prefer previous and/or relevant experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, training materials, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions as relates to the essential functions of the job, i.e., ability to accurately count and document inventory, observe proper measurements and portions for recipes and/or preparation, properly use computer monitor for ordering items.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to carry out detailed and specific written and/or oral instructions. Ability to problem solve in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
It is the employee's responsibility to secure and maintain current status of all required certificates, licenses, (Ex. Servsafe) or registrations when required by local, state, or federal government agencies, including a valid Food Handler Card. Must have upon hire.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, generally in an indoor setting.
