Under general supervision of the Infusion Center Ambulatory Patient Care Manager and guided by the procedures of the Medical Center, Ambulatory Services and the Cancer Center, the Infusion Services Resource Pool RN Nursing Supervisor, ensures the quality of patient care in the Adult Infusion Centers and serves as a role model for professional nursing practice. This position is responsible for oversight and supervision of the West Bay Adult Infusion Center Resource RN Pool, including but not limited to 1) recruiting, selecting, hiring and training staff, coaching and counseling, and completion of performance evaluations 2) assuring compliance with all regulatory and patient safety goals, 3) developing and implementing policies and procedures that assure a high level of quality care, 4) supports performance improvement initiatives, 5) utilizes Lean practices and leverages technology and automation to achieve efficiencies and 6) maintains close working relationship with West Bay infusion nurse leaders to ensure alignment of goals that meet patient safety and service standards. This position supports West Bay Adult Infusion Services and facilitates positive interaction among staff, patients, and other departments. In addition, this position leads initiatives related to the goals of West Bay infusion services, including but not limited to learning/training/onboarding standard work for the resource pool, quality initiatives that support infusion services, and ensures compliance/regulatory requirements are maintained. The nursing supervisor may assume responsibility for an infusion unit and in the absence of the Patient Care Manager across all West Bay infusion sites. The Infusion Center RN Resource Pool Nursing Supervisor is clinically competent at the CNIII level.

- Strong knowledge of human resources management policies, with the ability to train, monitor, evaluate, and document human resources issues and performance, and to participate in decision-making on human resources matters.
- Knowledge of current and emerging best practices and technologies in the clinic / center healthcare industry.
- Two (2) years supervisory or demonstrated leadership experience or Master’s degree in related field
- Experience using EPIC EMR systems
- Experience with QA/The Joint Commission process for quality improvement
- Master’s degree
- ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card, OCN or other related certification
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical RN experience in an infusion and/or oncology setting
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Demonstrated skills to effectively supervise clinicians and to manage the complex workflow and multiple priorities involved with a clinic(s) / center(s). Strong knowledge of practice operations.
- In depth knowledge of patient care clinical standards and care delivery, systems, external regulations and internal policies
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly analyze problems, determine appropriate level of intervention, and develop and apply effective solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaborations and problem solving with all levels of management and staff, consultants and outside agencies.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to train and mentor subordinates, to convey complex clinical and technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong leadership, fiscal and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management and staff from all disciplines. Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration and consistent achievement of objectives.
