Posting Summary	Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a UCHC Director of Quality Improvement & Accreditation and Standards for the UCHC Central Administration offices located in Trenton, NJ. The Director is responsible for the overall functioning of the Quality Improvement Program for University Correctional Health Care (UCHC), manages the administrative activities of the Quality Improvement office and supervises all QI staff. The QI Director is responsible for continuously assessing all aspects of care and services at UCHC, recommends improvement interventions and treatment, and monitors the effectiveness of such interventions and the maintenance of achieved improvements. Is responsible for assessing outcome of treatment at UCHC, using, adapting, and developing, as necessary, the outcome assessment tools used at UCHC Duties include: Directs the Quality Improvement Program. Manages all aspects of the National Commission for Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) accreditation to include maintaining compliance, preparing for site visits, and any other related activity that results in continuous accreditation. Responsible for the overall administration of the program and identifies goals and targets for the program, updates the program as appropriate, and evaluates its performance annually. Responsible for all performance improvement activities, including development and oversight of performance improvement teams. Develops, implements, and reviews all performance measures; provides consultation and education to management and key staff regarding performance measurement, improvement, and outcome data. Responsible for data retrieval from the back tables of an Electronic Health Record (Centricity EMR/on an Oracle platform), staff data base (ACCESS), and surveys from patient and staff. Responsible for data analysis, including statistical analyzes when indicated, identification of trends and patterns and translation of results into performance improvement activities. Responsible for reporting quality improvement information to the Quality Improvement/Patient Safety Committee, Executive Committee, and site inspectors/monitor

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities	Minimum of Master’s Degree in one of the following disciplines: Statistics, Education, Nursing, Public Health, or Related Health Care Area and seven (7) years postgraduate experience in a relevant health care setting. Requires knowledge of mental, dental, and physical health care services and extensive knowledge and experience with quality improvement programs. Outstanding human relations and leadership skills and ability to function in a team environment required. Valid Driver’s License. Must possess own vehicle or alternative means of transportation from one site to another.
Preferred Qualifications	Working knowledge and experience in statistical data analysis and ability to retrieve data from the Electronic Health Record used by NJDOC is preferred. Strong writing skills, as would be demonstrated in professional publications or other professional writing is preferred. Strong oral presentation skills would be demonstrated in speaking at conferences and/or professional training preferred. Two (2) years related supervisory experience preferred. Experience in supervising unionized workforce is also preferred. Computer literacy in such programs as ACCESS, EXCEL, Power BI or other AI tools, statistics applications, and ability to access data from the back tables of electronic health record is preferred.
