Essential Functions
Manages the UHCMC Child Protection program in conjunction with the Medical Director for Child Protection and the Child Protection Nurse Practitioner.
Coordinates the Care Clinic, which provides expert medical evaluations for child sexual abuse.
Provides education and consultation on child protection issues to multiple disciplines within the hospital setting and in the community. Serves as the expert resource to provide direct supervision of social workers working with cases of child abuse and neglect.
Provides administrative support to Department Supervisor including assisting with coverage in absence of Supervisor, assists with policy and standard development and supporting projects.
Works as a backup for the Social Worker who manages continuing education activities (liaison to the State of Ohio social work licensing board enabling UHCMC to maintain status as a provider of social work CEUs), as well as coordinates the social work graduate internships for UHHS.

Qualifications:
Education
Master's Degree From an accredited school of Social Work required
Work Experience
3 years experience in child protection required
3 years supervisory or leadership experience required
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Expertise in child abuse, sexual abuse, neglect required
Computer skills required
Theoretical and clinical knowledge regarding health care delivery required
Multi-tasks and prioritizes work required
Works autonomously required
Leadership skills required
Communicates effectively with persons of various backgrounds required
Licenses and Certifications
Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor (LISW-S) required
Position Details
