DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This is an exciting, one year training program that includes formal on-the-job training designed to develop technical program knowledge, competency, and experience in transportation analysis and planning. As a trainee, you will perform introductory analytical work for Pennsylvania’s public transportation system, including investments, planning, programming, and project management for fixed route and demand response services in the Bureau of Public Transportation. You will make a lasting impact on statewide operating programs by gathering, verifying, analyzing, and forecasting various data for public transportation organizations. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
This position is eligible for an alternate work schedule (AWS).
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
A bachelor's degree that includes 15 college credits in public administration, business administration, systems analysis, accounting, information technology, or a closely related field;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 15 college credits in public administration, business administration, systems analysis, accounting, information technology, or a closely related field.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
