Job Description / Essential Elements:Print
Objective:
To help students learn subject matter and concepts or skills that contributes to their development as mature, able and responsible adults.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate development of a standards-based visual and performing arts program;
Implement a standards-based visual and performing arts program;
Provide structured activities to 9-12 students in visual art, dance, music and theater arts to enable students to meet district standards;
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
Enthusiasm for working with 9-12 students in the visual and performing arts;
Ability to plan and deliver lessons to students;
Knowledge of adult learning and ability to provide staff development for experienced teachers;
Ability to network with the community to promote the visual and performing arts;
The ability to work with classroom teachers to develop, implement and evaluate lessons; the ability to communicate with parents to ensure attendance and student success;
The ability to develop curriculum and assess student progress toward established goals; budget management;
Verbal and written communication skills.
Experience Required:
Experience working with 9-12 students in visual and performing arts, hands-on experience coordinating and performing in the visual and performing arts.
Minimum qualifications:
Credentials: The applicant should hold, or be able to qualify for appropriate valid California Teaching Credential. Must hold a CLAD certificate or other EL authorization. This position requires a Art Credential.

Experience Required:
Experience working with 9-12 students in visual and performing arts, hands-on experience coordinating and performing in the visual and performing arts.
Must have a Single Subject Art Credential or must be able to obtain a valid California credential.
Must possess or be able to obtain an English Language authorization. (CLAD/BCLAD)
