Job Summary
The Student Involvement Business & Operations Coordinator is an integral part of the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement, ensuring that the Division of Student Affairs reaches its goal of operational and administrative excellence. The Student Involvement Business & Operations Coordinator works closely with student organizations to facilitate purchasing and business operations to ensure a vibrant student experience. In addition, the Student Involvement Business & Operations Coordinators work closely with the Associate Dean of Students to manage the “ObieExpress” shuttle service and other student transportation initiatives.
Responsibilities
Student Involvement Operations
Manage the student organization temporary purchasing card program, including distribution of cards and rectification of receipts.
Assist student organizations with making purchases in “ObieBuy”, Oberlin’s invoice management system.
In collaboration with the Director of Student Involvement and Orientation, co-advise the Student Finance Committee (SFC) while assisting with logistical and procedural concerns.
Manage student organization payroll and timecards, including hourly and stipend positions.
Review and create contracts for student organizations, in consultation with other Student Leadership and Involvement Staff.
Transportation
Direct the logistics of the “ObieExpress” shuttle service, including reservations, driver payroll, and scheduling.
In consultation with the Associate Dean of Students, make recommendations and improvements on campus transportation initiatives.
Process billing and liaison with “Airport Oberlin Shuttle”.
Serve as a liaison with the Office of Environmental Sustainability on transportation initiatives.
Miscellaneous
Assist the Associate Director of Student Involvement with the utilization and introduction of new features on the “Presence” Student Engagement Software.
Lead edits and distribution of the “Student Organization Leadership Handbook” on an annual basis.
Plan the annual Late-Night Breakfast, in collaboration with the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement.
Meet regularly with the Business and Budget Manager for the Division of Student Affairs to assist with division-wide business processes.
Ability to work some nights and weekends for events and student organization processes.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
0-2 years of experience (recent or upcoming graduates (Spring 2024) are encouraged to apply)
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously.
Ability to work as part of a team within an office and collaborate with campus partners.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the Google Suite.
Desired Qualifications
Experience advising a student organization.
Experience with budget planning or management.
Experience working in Student Affairs and, in particular, with campus programming and student organizations.
