A Brief Overview
The Systems Administrator II installs, configures and maintains operating systems workstations and servers. Schedules and performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Studies existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow as required.
What you will do
-
Ensure availability, administration, maintenance, further development, standardization as well as proper documentation of global IT infrastructure and system landscape including but not limited to:
-
Active Directory including DHCP and DNS
-
Microsoft Server 2012
-
Microsoft SQL
-
Microsoft SCCM
-
VMware ESX
-
NetApp
-
Enforce and ensure group wide server workplace hardware standards, and operating system and software standards defined by Corporate IT and according to best practices
-
Evaluate and implement global IT infrastructure components in cooperation with the change delivery team
-
Vendor and 3rd party management in respect to service delivery
-
Ensure adequate level of GMP CFR Part 11 compliance as per organization guidelines
-
IT project assistance/support, change assistance/support and implementation as per Corporate IT
-
Ensure help desk quality standards and availability as per Corporate IT
-
Ensure problem management and continuous optimization of IT infrastructure related services
-
Ensure a positive safety culture is sustained
-
Ensure safety and environmental policies are adhered to in order to protect the health and safety of employees, visitors, contractors, and the community
-
Document and analyze information
-
Manage data backup
-
Flexibility with work shift - after hour support and on call schedule
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Bachelor’s degree with a technical major in engineering or computer science Required
-
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in systems administration, and working in a global multi-site IT infrastructure Required
-
Knowledge of Microsoft enterprise solutions and best practices
-
Knowledge of VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills
-
Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
-
Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner, including keeping management aware of potential issues.

Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
-
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
-
Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment
Base Annual Salary Range:
Systems Administrator I: $64,080 - $88,110
Systems Administrator II: $81,360 - $111,870
