RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine.
Interpret blueprint and/or CAD design and develop CMM computer program techniques for the dimensional inspection process
Perform first article dimensional inspection of parts
Evaluate and create inspection reports of measurement results in required format.
Perform and report routine in-process dimensional sample inspection of parts
Participate in dimensional problem-solving activities
Participate in gage and equipment calibration
Support daily production with measurements and CMM run needs
Help manage internal measurement tasks for production related programs.
Prepare metrology reports and other related correspondence.
General support for supplier quality measurements.
Perform measurements on 3-D measurement machine.
Perform measurements on 2-D measurement machine.
Provide and implement continuous improvement and cost saving ideas.
COMPETENCIES:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex engineering documents
Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
Ability to comprehend nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.)
Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry.
