We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

This role supports accounting for various Dominion Energy companies, primarily focused on accounts receivable and payable invoicing related to commodity purchase and sale activity.
Primarily responsible for:
- Review and approval of accounts receivable invoices related to energy commodity sales.
- Review and approval of accounts payable invoices related to energy commodity purchases.
- Posting journal entries
- Accrual accounting
- Prepaid accounting
- Review and approval of Account Reconciliations
- Day to day maintenance of a general ledger
- Conduct ad hoc assignments and analysis
- Perform appropriate accounting controls
- Routinely interact with internal customers
- Research and resolve discrepancies
- Mentoring and coaching accounting staff
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
7+ years of general accounting experience
Specific knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience include:
- Broad knowledge of U.S. General Accounting Principles (GAAP), practices and procedures
- Excellent computer skills including strong proficiency using Excel (working with large spreadsheets)
- Effective communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.
Preferred Disciplines: Accounting, Business Administration, Business Finance, Finance
