ECS is seeking a Communications Team Lead to work in our Bethesda, MD office. Job Description: - Lead a communications team (comprised of communication SMEs, tech writers, and digital designers) supporting teams and divisions under the office of the CISO.
- Managing the content and organization of Teams Channels, website, SharePoint sites, the Program Wiki and Knowledge Base managed on the media Wiki platform, email newsletters, and requested reports.
- Managing communication and collaboration tools, such as the program website, SharePoint, Wiki platforms. Activities may include but are not limited to content management, site creation, site maintenance, and email distribution management.
- Assessing the current communications plans, capabilities, tools and technology platforms used for messaging and providing cybersecurity awareness across the agency and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinating conference logistical meeting support, including presentation and briefing development, audio-visual and teleconference support, agenda development, recording minutes, documenting action items and following up on action items.
- Providing communications support for all Cyber initiatives to stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Providing content management for communication platforms to include Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Website, and Wiki.
- Developing Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Management Plan.
- Updating and maintaining Template Library documents.
- Working closely with program teams to ensure that communication is properly vetted and disseminated.
- Coordinating communication with program areas and streamline and publicize information dissemination.
- Hosting and facilitating focus groups.
- Establish and facilitate working groups to improve internal and external communications, regarding high profile vulnerabilities and threats.
- Creating a plan to manage content from agency-level notification and news.
Required Skills: - Bachelor's Degree.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior management and leadership.
- Ability to guide the development of enterprise-specific implementation guidance for agency management.
Desired Skills: - Business/Management/IT degree or related discipline preferred.
- Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework at the subject matter expert level, particularly including SP 800-30, 37, 39, 53, and 53-A.
- Ability to analyze and interpret Federal legislation, directives, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) mandates, and guidance provided by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) against existing information security and privacy policy to identify required updates. Ability to conduct research on new and emerging information technologies and develop comprehensive information security and privacy policy, standards/guidelines, and procedures to facilitate the implementation of information security and privacy controls. Must have working knowledge of the Privacy Act of 1974 (as amended), the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA).
