Job Abstract

The San Diego Unified School District is now accepting applications for those looking to transfer positions for the 2024-25 School Year.

Credential Requirements:

Credential Requirements for transfer positions will require the educator to hold an active credential, fully authorizing the area in which they will be providing instruction. Some positions may require more than one credential to be fully authorized.

Credential Requirements for transfer positions will require a Valid General Education or Special Education teaching credential validating services in the subject area(s) listed on the vacancy, respectively.

Who can participate in Phase 3:

*Any current SDEA member who did not participate in either Phase 1 or Phase 2 of this Spring's Post and Bid process.

*A Unit member who bid on, was interviewed and accepted an assignment in either Phase 1 or Phase 2 CANNOT participate in Phase 3.

*Any SDEA member who was placed into a position in Phase 1, via the excessed staff ranking process, CAN participate in Phase 3 rolling posts.

*Anyone who was notified of the potential to be excessed at the end of the 23/24 school year, or during the summer of 2024, will want to keep an eye on the rolling posts.

If you are qualified for a position, your name will be routed to the appropriate site administrator.

Timelines for Phase 3 Staffing:
Vacancies will be posted on Monday, July 1, 2024 and close on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 5:00 P.M.
Human Resources staff will route names for interviews at school sites by Monday, July 8, 2024. Site/Department administrators will have five (5) calendar days to conduct interviews, and make selections. Sites are not obligated to make any selections, if the candidates are not a good match. In these cases, positions will be posted in the next round again.
Unit members who are offered a position have two (2) days to accept or reject the offer.
The Final Phase 3 posting will open on July 15, 2024.
Human Resources staff will staff remaining vacancies with unit members who remain unassigned after the closing of Phase 3.
