Job Abstract

Medical Forefronts Management Solutions is seeking a Surgical Support Technologist to work with our outpatient surgery center client based in Manhattan. The Surgical Support Technologist provides assistance to the operating room, recovery room, and front office to facilitate the smooth transition of the patient throughout the surgical center.

Essential duties include:

• Turning over the OR suite between cases
• Terminal cleaning at the end of the surgical day in accordance with established cleaning standards
• Assisting in inventory and supply control
• Provide indirect care to surgical patients as directed by nursing staff
• Adherence to infection control standards and proper waste/sharps disposal
• Working with nursing staff to ensure surgical and PACU arenas are properly stocked

• Completion of high school or equivalent, preferred.
• Experience and a demonstrated knowledge of healthcare settings, preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of infection control, preferred
• Current AHA BLS certification or willingness to complete
