Handle, restrain, saddle, and groom horses. Confirm that all animals are accounted for and receive proper vitamins and supplements. Monitor food and water levels to maintain proper diets for all animals. Monitor animals for signs of illness and injury through visual examinations and contact management immediately if an animal is sick or injured. Collect specimens and cultures from the animals for the veterinarian or lab, as necessary. Administer treatment to animals as prescribed and under the guidance of the prescribing veterinarian. Store food, vitamins, and medical supplies. Maintain tack in safe and ready to use condition. Assist guests in signing-in, including completing trail release forms and payment. Book rides in the reservation system and match riders to horses. Assist customers with mounting and dismounting horses. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
