Responsibilities Sierra Vista Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses for the Ourpatient Services Department. POSITION SUMMARY The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Cross-functional training may be required to learn skills that will allow the license to work seamlessly throughout the facility. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Associates Degrees accepted, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: Experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing. Valid driver's license preferred. Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification, and successful completion of the hospital’s designated behavioral and physical management training program including de-escalation and appropriate use of seclusion and restraint required prior to assisting in the procedures.
