The Sr. Manager/Associate Director, Technical Lead Enterprise Platforms role is a technical hands-on position to architect and manage development in Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365, with exposure to modules like Finance & Operations, Supply Chain Management - Manufacturing and Order to Cash included.

Reports to: Sr. Director IT, Corporate and Commercial Functions

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA OR Remote

Travel: Up to 20%

Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning:

• Contributes towards defining and driving ERP (D365), Microsoft Power Platform & Automation platform strategy and roadmap to enable enterprise capabilities
• Drives outsourcing partners to deliver operational excellence across ERP, Microsoft Power Platform and Automation Platforms
• Develops talent by recognizing potential, developing and motivating team members
• Delivers value through Strategic deployments of technical capabilities and platforms to enable business objectives across the enterprise
• Manages diverse business partner relationships and accountability
• Leads/supports the expansion of Enterprise platforms and capabilities
• Excellent problem solving and cross collaboration to lead technical implementations in D365, Power Platform, Automation anywhere and G&A applications
• Drive value through innovation and creative contract leverage from various vendors
• Continuous improvement and design thinking mindset
• Agile/DevOps implementation experience

Acquisition and Deployment:

• Coordinates and facilitates consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations and information services in ERP, other G&A Applications & Automation landscape
• Guides the approval, prioritization, and control of projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems impacting ERP or Automation platforms
• Manages the development and deployment of new applications, systems software, and/or enhancements or expansion of use of existing applications throughout the enterprise that significantly improve business operations.
• Applies expertise in regulatory GxP computer software validation practices and associated change management methodologies to improve Atara Bio’s systems.
• Prepares validation testing as necessary for system upgrades and patches.
• Applies experience in meeting corporate IT SOX requirements.
• Coordinates and manages internal and external auditor requirements.
• Ensures that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
• Collaborates with analysts, designers, and business process owners, and system owners in the testing of new software capabilities, programs and applications.
• Works with Information System staff to ensure system(s) will fit into existing infrastructure and meets Atara Bio standards for hardware/software systems.

Operations and Support:

• Manages and provides direction for the enterprise application team in support of business operations.
• Identifies and resolves program errors.
• Provides technical leadership to project managers, business analysts and programmers working on application project teams.
• Designs, develops, and installs enhancements and upgrades to systems and application software.
• Works with other Information System staff to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing.
• Cultivates, disseminates, and enforces functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices.
• Where necessary, prepares, establishes, and monitor budgets.
• Works with business owners to formulate and conduct training sessions and teaching materials for propagating enterprise applications knowledge throughout the organization as appropriate.
• Recommends, schedules, and performs software improvements, patches, upgrades, and/or purchases.
• Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees: planning, assigning, and directing work; performance management and reviews; staff development; addressing complaint and resolving problems.
• Performs IS application administration tasks

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience implementing & maintaining custom workflows in Dynamics 365. 9+ years for Associate Director.
• Deep understanding of the D365 FO technology stack and the peripheral technologies that can be leveraged including, but not limited to, Azure, Azure SQL, Power BI, Common Data Service, Power Apps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Machine Learning, Azure DevOps, RSAT etc. Expertise in designing & building integrations with MS Dynamics AX/D365 ERP suite is essential. Experience driving automation initiatives using RPA platforms like automation anywhere, UI Path etc. across the enterprise is preferred
• Strong SQL Server skills
• Expertise using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Web Services
• Strong understanding of interface development using SSIS or Scribe or Azure Data Factory for Dynamics 365
• Microsoft Dynamics certification (preferred)
• Data Strategy & Architecture, Master Data Management implementation experience
• Experience with JIRA, GITHub, Azure DevOps (preferred)
• Experience with MS Dynamics 365 release management, Microsoft Life Cycle Services
• Understanding of Synchronous and Asynchronous integration patterns
• Extension approach to customization versus overlays
• Role-based security design and customization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
