Minimum Qualifications
A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Business/Public Administration or related field from an accredited four year college or university is preferred. Three years of full time paid progressively responsible management/supervisory experience in program and/or project development is required. Should be proficient in computer and software applications (Microsoft Office Suites) and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A valid State of Ohio Driver's License is required.

Program Management: Plans, manages, coordinates, and administers the City’s Maternal & Child Health programs. Oversee the activities required to execute efficient and economical operation of the program:
Manage subcontractors and establish partnerships with community organizations to foster program integration and sustainability initiatives.
Maintain good standing with funders, submitting grant reports and documentation.
Identify and secure grants for project enhancement and expansion.
Estimates future needs and makes recommendations’ concerning the advisability of new initiatives.
Budget formulation.
Compiles and analyzes data from various sources to document areas of need.
Training and mentorship to other Healthy Start projects.
Collaborates with organizations working to reduce health disparities, advance racial equity as well as coalitions serving communities of color.
Attend external meetings and facilitate internal program meetings.
Supervision: Supervises program staff:
Approve and maintain staff personnel records and issues.
Facilitate monthly program staff meetings.
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with individual staff.
Assist and train staff as needed with activities and assignments.
Experience Required and Additional Duties Three-years full time paid experience in program administration, public health or health education as well as two years of full time experience federal grant writing, reporting, and management, two years of supervisory or team management leadership is also required. Experience supervising individuals and leading teams required.

Capacity to engage diverse groups;
Strong knowledge of health, public health, health equity health disparities, health literacy and community engagement capacity;
Strong knowledge of perinatal health, primary care, women’s health issues, and health care systems;
Understanding of social determinants of health, root causes and upstream policies;
Working knowledge of key equity, diversity and social justice concepts;
Working knowledge of the legal aspects affecting policies;
Experience with public policy, health/healthcare policy and advocacy
Three years of experience in marketing, media or social media experience;
Strong supervisory, management and leadership skills;
Two years of experience with program financial management, including developing and managing budgets;
Documented successful grant writing and management skills;
Documented success in prior management positions required;
Documented ability to identify evaluation metrics in order to measure the existing health status of minority residents;
Experience with training individuals to engage, support and link residents to critical health resources and coordinate programming and outreach efforts within the City of Cleveland neighborhoods;
Efficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.), as well as other communication and presentation tools, apps and software
