Responsible for the organization, scheduling of drivers, and directing the distribution of gases and
hardgoods on a day-to-day work plan. Adjusts distribution as necessary in both shipping and receiving
areas, responsible for distribution order accuracy, productivity levels, and facility maintenance.
Coordinates distribution activities under the direction of the Branch Manager, and trains warehouse
personnel to ensure well-coordinated shipping and receiving plan.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
? Lead, supervise, evaluate, manage, motivate and train drivers.
? Responsible for the daily logistics of driver’s routes, to ensure cost-efficient deliveries.
? Directs the day-to-day activities of shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
? Maintain proper pricing of all hard good inventory items,
? Achieve and maintain a clean database of inventory numbers.
? Perform daily inventory maintenance tasks such as inventory adjustments, part number set ups and
part number changes.
? Communicate in person and on the telephone with customers, providing information on cost, ordering
and delivery times.
? Enforces policies for proper receipt, storage and distribution of materials; reviews invoices.
? Responsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance
programs and all necessary repairs. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient
equipment in order to perform the distribution functions.
? Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for
employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.
? Recommends equipment requirements and replacements in order to upgrade and maintain
warehouse productivity and efficiency.
? Responsible for the progressive disciplinary processes in the area of counseling, oral and written
warnings; ensures a productive labor climate in the distribution center operation.
? Ensure all driver files are complete and up to date and copies sent to DOT.

Are you a MATCH?
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Some college education preferred.
5 years of distribution experience and 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
Forklift certified.
Industry and related product knowledge as well as experience handling compressed gases preferred.
Computer experience or basic knowledge in computer order entry system.
SAP experience a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Good organizational and analytical skills as well as an ability to motivate and communicate effectively with staff.
Ability to read, speak, write, spell and understand the English language.
Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
Must be able to work occasional overtime, if necessary.
Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and background.
Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from 30 to 110 degrees.
Must be able to operate in a drug-free, tobacco-free workplace.
KEEPING ALL DRIVERS DOT COMPLIANT AT ALL TIMES
Assist the Branch in meeting or exceeding EBITDA budget goal through branch contribution (i.e. NDT, operations/systems efficiencies)
Lead and direct the drivers to meet the goal of zero preventable vehicle accidents and zero recordable injuries. Complete all safety audit follow up tasks timely and as assigned.
Ensure timely completion of all assigned Airgas and Divisional training within specified deadlines. This includes both all training assigned to me as an associate as well as all training assigned to all associates within my organizational hierarchy.
