Engineer, Development (Space Systems)
Minimum Required Qualifications:
B.S. Engineering is required
1 (min.) - 5 years experience in product testing and development
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and knowledge
Knowledgeable and experience in the areas of high-pressure fluids and gasses.
Knowledgeable and experience in the areas of electronic test equipment.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents, including but not limited to; vendors, suppliers, customers, potential job candidates, etc.
Highly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc., including Pro-E

Build and test new and existing product designs
Support all testing both in house and at outside test facilities
Design fixtures and test setups that will make testing more complete and efficient
Troubleshoot non-functioning designs to support engineering
Support the develop assembly procedures and document the development build process
Work with team to develop action plans and strategies to support and accommodate testing and development of new products
Create testing procedures, plans, and reports
Support the full implementation of planning and production techniques for both one off and repetitive product manufacturing
Ensure that all activities related to product development are executed and documented in a manner which is compliant to corporate and regulatory requirements
Effectively communicate exceptions to established/agreed upon schedules to all affected parties internal/external to the Marotta Organization

Work Environment:
This job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).
Travel is required (20% - 40%)
