Title: H-10 Month Secretary – George Baker Elementary School
Qualifications:
High School diploma minimum, Associates degree preferred Two years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination or education and experience. Knowledge and ability to use technology and related software. Ability to operate commonly used office machines. Demonstrated proficiency in typing, keyboarding. Good interpersonal skills Ability to manage telephone calls in a courteous and effective manner. Ability to greet the public, staff and students with a professional demeanor. Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or resident alien status.
Performance Responsibilities:
Receives and routes incoming calls and correspondence.
Provides customer service support to the school community
Performs usual office routines, such as photocopying, general typing, filing, etc.
Assists in the greeting, properly signing - in, obtaining visitor’s passes and directs visitors as is appropriate for working position
Prepares correspondence, notices and reports.
Maintains a well-organized, up-to-date filing system.
Operates all business machines necessary to complete reports and clerical work required in the operation of the office.
Arranges meetings, prepares agendas and handles follow-up activities as necessary.
Assists, logs in, and directs visitors to the schools.
Maintains confidentiality as required and appropriate.
Performs other tasks related to the efficient operation of the office as assigned.
