You will analyze supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimization. Additionally, the work closely with other Saint-Gobain entities stakeholders (category managers, regional purchasing group, business unit purchasing director…) and cross-functional teams to mitigate supply risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including supplier evaluation and audit programs.--As purchasing manager, you will ensure compliance of practices and implement initiatives to constantly improve and seek excellence.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain and/or Purchasing discipline required, Master's degree preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
7+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment in purchasing, supplier relationship management
3+ years experience in a supervisor role managing/developing direct reports.
Relevant exposure to compliance programs and audit frames required.
Additional skills required:
Negotiation, project management, planning and material planning skills
Analytical thinking, Business intelligence, statistical analysis
Business acumen and basic finance
ERP system knowledge (QAD is a plus)
APICS certification (CPIM,CLTD,CSCP and/or SCOR) - minimum 1 certification, 2 certifications required if no supply chain degree or CPP certified.
Advanced computer skills (Excel, Power Point, notions of databases)
