Responsibilities Michael’s House is currently seeking a Per Diem Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) responsible for monitoring patients’ medical needs, coordinating outside medical appointments. Supervises patients, as they self-administer medications, adheres to all documentation standards, tracks TB skins tests, monitors random drug screens, transcribes and follows up on doctors’ orders. Qualifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Monitors medication process for individuals living in residential facilities including supervision or medication distribution, supervising self-administration process. • Prepares medication Administration Record (MAR) • Obtains, stores and monitors medications according to policy and procedure • Meets quality, quantity, and timeliness of expectations of accuracy, completeness, volume consistent with peers and relative to time in position, completing work as schedule, demonstrating self-paced performance and adjusting priorities as needed and is responsive to feedback. Educations and Experience • Licensure: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT), • Licensed or certified as a chemical dependency counselor/ or registered to become licensed or certified within 90 days of hire. • At least one year working within a healthcare facility preferred. • Experience working with patients diagnosed with co-occurring disorders strongly preferred. • Sound knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in work processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, EMR, TIER or similar and Microsoft Office Suite) required.
