Arts Culture and Creative Economy Intern
The City of Cleveland is seeking a passionate and creative intern to join our team for the development and execution of an art exhibition featuring Latino artists in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in arts administration, cultural events, and community engagement. The intern will work closely with the Cultural Affairs Coordinator to curate a diverse and dynamic exhibition that highlights the rich heritage and contributions of the Latino community.

Project Coordination:
Assist in planning and organizing the Hispanic Heritage Month art exhibition.
Coordinate with Latino artists, community groups, and other stakeholders.
Develop a project timeline and ensure milestones are met.
Curatorial Assistance:
Help in the selection and curation of artworks.
Conduct research on artists and their works to create informative and engaging exhibition content.
Assist in the layout and design of the exhibition space.
Marketing and Outreach:
Develop and implement a marketing plan to promote the exhibition.
Create promotional materials such as flyers, social media posts, and press releases.
Engage with local media, community organizations, and schools to raise awareness.
Event Planning:
Assist in organizing the exhibition opening and related events such as artist talks, workshops, and community activities.
Coordinate event logistics including setup, audiovisual needs, and catering.
Provide on-site support during events.
Administrative Support:
Maintain detailed records of artist agreements, artwork loans, and exhibition inventory.
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for City Hall officials and stakeholders.
Handle general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, responding to inquiries, and managing correspondence.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Arts Administration, Art History, Cultural Studies, Communications, or a related field.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for Latino culture and the arts.
Previous experience in event planning, marketing, or curatorial work is a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
