POSITION SUMMARY
Plans and provides technical, curriculum and motivational assistance for targeted teachers and schools. Provides coaching support and a specific coaching model to increase instructional practices for fellow teachers and themselves. Develops and presents professional development sessions appropriate to the needs of teachers throughout the school year.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES
Plans and provides technical and curriculum assistance for targeted teachers and schools.
Supports targeted teachers with a specific coaching model to increase instructional practices for their peers and for themselves.
Develops and presents professional development sessions appropriate to the needs of teachers throughout the school year.
Assists the teachers with curriculum, structure of classrooms, classroom management procedures, standards of pupil behavior, students’ evaluation, and students’ progress.
Provides planned learning experiences using a variety of media and methods in order to motivate students and teachers and utilize available time for the best possible instruction and training.
Responsible for activities related to facilitating online learning.
Collaborates with campus administration and other staff in ways to enhance the program and support the targeted teachers. This includes book studies, weekly meetings, online collaboration efforts, etc.
Participates in planning sessions with campus and district planning teams or staff activities as appropriate.
Maintains and improves professional competence.
Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees.
Maintains a professional relationship with colleagues.

Education
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education or a directly related field.
Texas Teacher Certificate appropriate for level and/or subject area of assignment.
Experience
Must have experience and exemplary skills in teacher leadership attributes.
Must have exemplary academic credentials and experience designing, monitoring, implementing, and evaluating projects.
Must have exemplary strategic and operational planning skills.
Other Requirements
Effective or better performance on TADS/M-TADS for previous three years.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to meet the communications diversity of the community and district staff members and the public at large.
Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds, stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, twist, bend, climb, and/or be mobile.
Ability to travel throughout the district and city by means of private or public transportation. If driving personal (or private) vehicle, must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and appropriate insurance coverage.
