Essential responsibilities include:
User and PC Support – support the management of service desk ticketing, resource assignment and resolution monitoring.
Asset Support – support asset management processes.
Infrastructure Administration – manage interfaces and address compatibility/interoperability issues among web technologies, Active Directory, Outlook, Livelink, Office365 and other user applications
System Security – provide support to senior service desk staff by identifying defense initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of security technologies.
Participate in and contribute to IT Department Meetings
Business Continuity - Participate in disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing to confirm appropriate system recovery capabilities for supported applications
Work Experience:
3 years’ experience with user PC products
3 years’ experience with email and spam filter
3 years’ experience with MS Windows Client OS
3 years’ experience with asset management systems
3 years’ experience help desk support
2 years’ system implementation experience
Critical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Effective communicator
Ability to effectively and professionally interact with various people and personalities
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Working knowledge of Office 365 One Drive, Teams and SharePoint Online preferred
Utilities industry, especially generation, transmission, and distribution desirable
Education: Two-year degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
Travel details: Occasional travel required
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Ability to enter data using hand/eye coordination via a keyboard and into a computer
Look at a computer monitor for long periods of time
Interact effectively with others through verbal communication in person, over the phone and via Teams video and in writing via email, text and Microsoft Teams chat
Occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
Connect computer equipment under desks and tables and through raised computer room floors which may require bending, stooping, crouching and/or lying on the floor.
Work full days (8 hours) in an office environment with occasional evening and weekend work.
