What will you do?
In this role, you will supervise a team while managing the daily goals. Monitor compliance with company policies and standards, including safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undergo training at our Sacramento facility for up to three months before assuming the role.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the department and its employees; including all performance management, time-keeping, and safety procedures.
- Assist in the training of new hire employees and ongoing education for the team.
- Coordinate with management and/or employees from other departments.
- Help team maintain and keep work area clean and safe.
- 2nd Shift : Monday - Thursday, 2:30pm - 1:00am
What are we looking for?

Key Competencies:
- Have previous supervisory/management experience (5 years minimum)
- Experience in one or all of the following is preferred: welding; metal fabrication; machining
- Excellent communication skills; able to converse professionally with shop and office employees, supervisors, managers, and executives
- Proficient with performance management, including plans of action and evaluations
- Proficient with MS Office
- Strong focus on safety
- Detail-oriented
- Consistent shop floor presence (2/3 of shift)
- Multi-task on a consistent basis throughout the shift
- Average math skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete logs, documents, and reports in English
- Work with others and be a team player
Wage information:
- Wage: $72,000 - $85,000 Annual Salary

It is estimated based on what a successful California applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in California or perform the position from California. Similar positions located outside of California will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
The base salary range above represents the low and high end of Martin’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be within the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Martin’s total compensation package for employees. In addition, Martin provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life, and disability insurance, a profit-sharing plan, a 401K trust plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to report daily to the company's Sacramento, CA branch for training, then to the Sacramento, CA location to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
