Summary:
Operates the equipped industrial forklift to move materials in the warehouse and to load and unload truck trailers or shipping containers by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manually moves and operates forklift to load, unload, move or stack products in a safe manner between unloading, staging, loading, and storage areas.
Organizes and secures stored materials such as bales, super sacks, boxes, pallets.
Loads or unloads materials manually, off or on to pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices.
Reports product moves, discrepancies, overs/shorts, damages, etc. to the supervisor.
Reports to supervisor any damage to racks, facility, faulty equipment, or any other safety hazards.
Weighs products or materials, and records weight and further production information on labels and tags, building pallets in an effort to protect product from damage.
Consults, communicates, and works with supervisors, managers, truck drivers, and other employees regarding unloading and loading operations.
Wraps material loads with a wrapper and keeping the warehouse premises clean.
Completes assigned paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
Maintains professional appearance at all times and displays exceptional communication and customer service skills in interactions with third party haulers.
Responsible for operating forklift in accordance with training guidelines and performing daily operator inspection as per OSHA guidelines.
Adheres to established policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations.
Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
Maintains full-time or part-time schedule (as designated) to include overtime when requested and weekend, and holiday hours.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
