Senior Digital Shelf Manager
The Sr. Digital Shelf Manager establishes and manages the digital shelf strategies and operations throughout the entire organization. With 3 direct reports and 1 dotted line personnel, the role defines, implements, and facilitates processes, resolves issues across the teams and tracks performance.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead Salsify PIM Implementation:
- Work in partnership with Gournay Consulting to ensure the Salsify PIM implementation is a success toward centralizing master data, product data, marketing content and assets for the digital shelf.
- Align teams and processes as defined from the implementation and ensure compliance and clarity.
- Optimize Salsify capabilities, engagement, and track performance against their scope.
- Ensure unified GDSN and digital shelf management.
Digital Content Management:
- Define processes and workflows across brand teams and agencies for content update and management, leveraging the Salsify integration.
- Lead the E-Commerce agency accountable for digital shelf content management and ensure appropriate scope with them.
- Incorporate most efficient tools and/or utilize 3rd party auditing and implementation for content upgrading and scoring.
- Optimize and track performance with greatest focus on the 5 major Riviana brands: Minute, Success, Mahatma, Carolina and RiceSelect.
Master Data Management:
- Oversee Master Data Manager to fulfill all GDSN requirements and ensure full integration with the Salsify PIM implementation.
- Direct key workflow for troubleshooting and issue management.
- Manage communication flow with customer requests/questions working in partnership with Sales, Marketing and Operations.
DAM Optimization:
- Conduct assessment of current tool (OpenText) in partnership with Gournay Consulting to either optimize current or define a different tool.
- Once defined, oversee the clean-up of current content including metadata and tagging.
- Review current workflows and verify process, owners.
- Ensure training for all users.
PLM Assessment and Implementation:
- Work in partnership with IT and relevant consultants for assessment and selection.
- Input in building change management plan and appoint owners.
- Define responsibilities on ongoing training and workflow management tracking.
Organizational Education / Industry Best Practice
- Expand knowledge, culture and training around digital shelf and e-commerce management throughout the organization across all cross-functional departments. Utilize vendors to train and build a foundational knowledge base.
- Stay updated on the digital shelf/e-commerce trends in the industry and best practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A proven track record in digital shelf management — at least 2 years of experience
- Experience in product experience management (PXM), product information management (PIM), and data asset management (DAM) and product lifecycle management (PLM)
- Previous working experience in project management and familiarity with tools like Basecamp, Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
- A deep understanding of online funnel metrics and the ability to quickly identify and develop overarching strategies that help improve online performance
- Experience using industry tools and analytics packages, including web analytics, targeting, testing
- Certified project management professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications are a plus
- Hands-on experience with omnichannel marketing
- Displays exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills
Education
BS degree minimally required, ideally in Marketing or closely related field
