R&D Finance Business Partner - SSF

Doubling down on investment in R&D doesn‘t automatically lead to increased outcomes and patient benefits. In fact, the last two decades the Pharma Industry has seen higher R&D costs, a reduced rate of approvals, and fewer commercial opportunities for new drugs. 

The R&D Finance Business Partner will operate in this environment to ensure smart investment decisions, highlighting risk and tradeoffs in the context of our evolving budget environment.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Collaborate in teams and across networks through building a robust financial backbone that ensures the reliability, accuracy, and trustworthiness of data, to enable better decision making & insight generation

• Drive transparency and insights to make smart business decisions in support of our company's 10 Year Ambitions

• Connect across organizations and strengthen the partnership between the Enterprise Center of Excellence and R&D Finance Network to catalyze meaningful insights

To be successful in this role you bring:

• A minimum of 5+ years of finance experience with proven experience in delivering financial results

• Excellent resource stewardship – relentless investment into areas that drive step change (ideally multiplicative)

• Strong business acumen, understanding of strategy, both within and across the value chain, value drivers

• Ability to network throughout a global, complex and matrixed organization and bring a dynamic and entrepreneurial mindset, seeking continuous opportunities and improvement

• Role-modeling new ways of working, with high motivation to work collaboratively and coach others and catalyze initiatives

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California. Primary Location State is $109,300 and $202,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
