Performs a wide variety of skilled tasks involved in the maintenance and repair of facility electrical distribution systems and electrical equipment and components. Additionally, this person will aid with the maintenance and repairs of all other building Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems when necessary. The individual may work independently or as part of a team to safely accomplish department objectives. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Perform all duties following safe electrical work practices. Must be compliant with Lock-Out Tag Out, Confined Space, and Arc Flash programs. • Perform various Preventive and Corrective Maintenance tasks to maintain and repair facilities electrical infrastructure, distribution equipment, and systems. This includes, but is not limited to, emergency power distribution, automatic and manual transfer switches, variable frequency drives, universal power supplies, electric motors, circuit breakers, switches, lamps and ballasts, LED drivers and modules, and electric door operators. • Apply analytical and manual skills in inspecting, maintaining, installing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment and systems. • Proficient use of electrical and electronic testing equipment and tools i.e. multimeters, meggers, power analyzers, circuit tracers, insulated hand tools. • Interface with vendors/contractors to facilitate electrical system repairs or replacements. • Assist with Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of all other building MEP systems. • Evaluate and make recommendations on electrical loads and energy savings projects. • Inspect the buildings and grounds to ensure safe, well maintained conditions and advise Supervisor of needed repairs. • Must be able to prioritize work to see the needs of the patient come first. Complete work orders as assigned and in a timely manner. Record work and time electronically in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). • Maintain records on work projects completed; prepare written reports related to work assignments; document actions taken and present written progress reports. • Wear proper personal protective equipment while performing job duties. • Maintain inventory and recommend supplies and equipment for purchase. • All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
