The Cyber Systems Security Engineer Sr will be responsible for the integration, test, and deployment of hardware and software, and embedded systems. This includes SIL network planning, software integration support, virtual machine creation and management, rack hardware design and installation, SIL test procedure development, verification, and validation of system functionality.
He will be involved in solving complex problems associated with both the hardware and software systems. Work will also include modification, and maintenance of system drawings (SIL network architecture, layout, cable drawings, rack drawings).
• Perform and manage system integration, test and troubleshooting of various hardware/software configurations
• Installing, and managing of equipment in server racks and updating of the Lab(s) inventory
• Integrate hardware equipment for the Systems Integration Labs (SIL)
• Establish Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL)/Closed-Loop development and testing in the Systems Integration Lab (SIL)
• Product integration, regression, and verification testing including checkout in system test labs.
• Participate in technical exchange meetings, interface with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.
• Integrating hardware from sub-system teams, interface with other elements, and the system and segment level teams
• Apply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications
• Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements
• Ability to travel as required. • Experience with networking technologies such as IGMP/multicast, OSPF, EIGRP, SNMP
• Experience with virtualized environments using VMware vSphere or Docker
• Experience with Windows Server (2016-2022), Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark/NPcap, Nmap, Cisco SPAN
• Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment, Dell/HP storage solutions and servers
• Familiarity with embedded systems such as ASIC or FPGA based computing
• Strong technical understanding of architecture, design and security principles
• Cisco CCNA, and/or CCNP certification or equivalent
• Avionics and SIL experience/background, Mission Planning and I&T experience / background, experience with requirements development and integration and test processes, strong laboratory skills, flight test experience
• Experience with Sub-System Integration, working in a System Integration Lab and troubleshooting system integration anomalies
• Experience in computing systems (Processing, Network, Storage, Display technologies)
• Experience creating, modifying, and maintaining system test procedures
• Proficiency in cable fabrication, installation and troubleshooting (BNC, ENET, RF, Fiber Optic, data).
• Experience with the deployment and configuration management of hardware components
• Experience in LabView
• Experience with RF design and troubleshooting
• Demonstrable experience working on complex and fast-paced program
• Strong and proven effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
• Analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems requiring ingenuity and innovation
• Proven effective leadership and teaming skills
• Must be willing to mentor junior-level team members
• Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, GitLab, Dockers
• Experience with Linux and MS Windows Server environments
• Demonstrated experience utilizing Agile frameworks for project lifecycle and/or understanding of Agile development concepts
• Demonstrated knowledge of test automation and continuous integration and deployment
• Experience interacting with customer and vendors and presenting at requirements and design reviews
• Experience with documentation and technical writing to maintain system configurations and network diagrams
• Modeling and simulation to establish feasibility and performance
• Individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment

• Able to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or related field, or relevant experience
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certificate such as CompTIA Security+, CySA, CCNA Security, SSCP or GSEC
