SUMMARY
Join the Ansys Student Internship Program to apply your education to solve real world engineering problems, advance career skills and experience work at Ansys. The student intern will be part of the Mechanical Business Unit team and will work together with the team to develop advanced engineering features for the mechanical product. The intern will get an opportunity to experience how software development is executed to solve engineering problems in an intuitive and integrated environment. The intern will also get to experience of how software design principles apply in an engineering discipline to simulate physics for next-generation products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop SPG numerical method for performance improvement on GPU and manufacturing process simulations.
- Develop material models in SPG for bone, wood and silicon.
- Work alongside software developers during the design, implementation and verification process.
- Investigate defects in production code.
- Develop unit tests for the developed features. - Analyze results and improve the usability of the software.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing a Master degree in engineering, or related technical major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the co-op program
- Strong Fortran, python and/or C/C++ programming languages - Sharp and tenacious problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Team player, responsible, and motivated
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing a PhD in computational mechanics, applied mechanics, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, material science or related fields.
- Knowledge of FEA and advanced numerical simulation
- Experience in high performance computing (HPC) and hybrid computing
