Apple’s Product Safety Group seeks a high-energy, poised, data-driven, and detailed oriented engineer with background in electrical/electronics engineering, to support safety engineering design, testing, and continuous improvement strategies. - Secure IEC 60950 or IEC 62368-1 safety certifications to facilitate global commercialization of our products. - Evaluate product designs of consumer electronics and new technologies for safety. - Develop a deep understanding of our products and work with multi-functional teams to identify and address related safety requirements and resolve design challenges of new technologies - Using scientific methods, conduct design of experiments and failure analysis. - Own and drive the safety aspects of Apple products while influencing product design engineering and cross-functional teams in regulatory and compliance requirements. - Develop an understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement and prevent safety issues. - Work with suppliers to ensure product safety is addressed and maintained during production.
