Employee Responsibilities:
We currently have exciting opportunities for a Biophysical Analytical Scientist within our Preformulation department, located at our Kenilworth, NJ site. In this role, you will apply Biophysical analytical skills in biotherapeutic drug products characterization with focus on product robustness. You will be working in a collaboratively team environment to support both early and late stage formulation development.
Responsibilities include:
Execution of testing protocols, including timely sample preparation, analytical testing and data reporting, with little to no supervision.
Basic ability to troubleshoot biophysical instruments
Documentation and reporting of results in an electronic notebook system
Review of ELN notebooks
Interaction with other technical groups with effective communication of results and coordination with other team members to handle the analytical workload
Phase-appropriate biophysical characterization of formulations
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate would possess:
1 to 2 years of expertise in operating various Biophysical instruments including but not limited to AUC, CD, CESDS, HIAC, DLS, DSC, FTIR, SEC-MALS, MFI, Raman; good understanding of protein science, protein/peptide stability, and protein-protein interactions.
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skill
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Proven ability to work independently in hands-on laboratory setting
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/MS in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline
Strong laboratory analytical skills are required.
Recent Research or Industrial experience with biophysical and biochemical techniques for biotherapeutics characterization is required
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
