Job Description:
This position will support the Department Manager and all Core Directors within the Shared Laboratory Resources areas. This individual will function as a primary resource for operating units regarding the collection of data, analysis and evaluation of operational resources, services, programs, systems, budgets and procedures. The specific tasks include executing service agreements, capital purchasing and management, asset management, processing of requisitions, closing of commitments, Oracle Champion, processing of monthly financial documents as well as monthly/annual analysis.
This position has a high degree of customer service, communication, and attention to detail. The Department Analyst works independently as well as with a larger team.
Shared Laboratory Resources provide services and seek to facilitate and advance research throughout Cleveland Clinic by providing technologies that support basic, translational, and clinical research.
Services range from those that support common requirements such as glassware sterilization and computing services, to more specialized services such as confocal microscopy, mass spectrometry, and DNA sequencing. Our Medical Device Solutions team promotes the development of innovative medical devices that will advance patient care.
Responsibilities:

- Conducts comprehensive statistical analysis and evaluation of unit services and performance.
- Identifies program or service strengths, weaknesses, and financial impact and identifies opportunities for service and program improvement.
- Develops special reports and recommendations.
- Provides input in the development of operational plans, procedures and systems.
- Reviews and evaluates current procedures and systems and develops recommendations for improvements.
- Maintains awareness of and complies with various regulatory guidelines (JCAHO, FDA, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field required.
- A High School diploma/GED and six years of experience may substitute the work experience and education requirements.
- An Associate’s degree and four years of experience may substitute the work experience and education requirements.
- A Master’s degree and one year of experience may substitute the work experience requirement.
