Job Summary
The Personnel Commission announces an OPEN and PROMOTIONAL recruitment. This recruitment will result in the establishment of one integrated eligibility list. Promotional candidates will have seniority points added to final passing scores (.25 of a point for every year of classified service up to a maximum of 5 points). This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies and will be active for one year or until cancelled. There are multiple positions open at various sites. These are 6 hour/day, 10 month position.
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist with development and implementation of evidence-based practices; support the development and implementation of behavioral components of students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and behavior improvement plans; collaborate with District Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), school psychologists, and education specialists (case managers) to support students’ positive behavioral interventions; and provide support to assist students in accessing
their educational program.
Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by college-level coursework in education, liberal arts, or related field and two years of experience working with students with behavior difficulties in an educational setting, developing, implementing, and supporting behavior support and intervention plans and documented training in applied behavior analysis and/or strategies for working with students who have behavior difficulties.
Licenses or Other Requirements
Completion of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within the first six months of employment.
Valid California Class C driver’s license and evidence of insurability.
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training (to be completed within 3 months of hire)
*Recertification to maintain current/valid status is a condition of employment
