ASI is seeking a Data Scientist to support DoD and commercial projects. This position is in the Jacksonville, FL area.
Responsibilities:
- Work within a logistics team to extract actionable insights based on complex data sets
- Perform exploratory data analysis on various disparate data sets to understand structure, quality, and gain insights
- Perform advanced data manipulation techniques to clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis
- Identify patterns, correlations, and anomalies within datasets
- Aggregate data and perform statistical analysis to answer questions presented by teammates or customers
- Apply mathematical models to understand patterns and trends in data sets
- Forecast future trends based on historical data
- Effectively communicate findings to, both, technical and non-technical teammates using the most appropriate visualization technique
- Identify and research the availability of additional data sources to provide more accurate insights
- Work with the team to make informed decisions based on data findings
- Stay up to date with the latest tools in data science
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline from a U.S. accredited institution
- 2+ years of work experience in data analytics
- Experience with data visualization techniques and tools such as Power Bi, Qlik, Tableau, and Python libraries such as Plotly, Matplotlib and Seaborn
- Proficient in Python to include knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Familiarity with SQL Server database for data retrieval and manipulation
- Strong data analytics skills
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance
