Job Summary:

The Division of Engineering Technology (DET) at Oklahoma State University (OSU) seeks applications for the position of non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in the Mechanical Engineering Technology and Mechatronics and Robotics. The preferred successful candidate should have the ability and desire teach some of the following undergraduate courses: Technical Drawing and Basic CAD, Hydraulic Fluid Power, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Machine Elements, Manufacturing Processes, Finite Element Methods, etc. Individuals with training and skills that complement and augment existing faculty expertise and have an interest in collaborative work are preferred. Position will be located at the OSU Stillwater campus in the Engineering North building.

Position Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.

Excellent communication and organizational skills and a high level of motivation are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

B.S. or M.S. degree in a field related to Mechatronics or Robotics is preferred. Professional registration, teaching and research experience at the university level, and three years of industry experience are preferred.
