Job Abstract

PeriOp Assistant / Transport position working throughout the Surgical Services departments at Providence St Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This is a Per-Diem position will work 12-hour shifts and will need to work a minimum of one (1) shift every 2-week pay period (more shifts are preferred).

Under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse, is responsible for organizing and delivering efficient surgical room turnovers including cleaning, equipment assignment, supply needs and transporting patients to and from surgical area, PACU, and GI lab. Performs assigned anesthesia room responsibilities, Surgical Department responsibilities, and other miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
