SUMMARY
The Mechanic will assist Contra Costa Electric Fleet Manager with repair and maintenance of heavy duty construction equipment and vehicles at Martinez CA shop location. Must be able to travel. Must be familiar with all types of construction equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles, including diesel, and gasoline powered, heavy construction equipment and vehicles
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues that arise with fleet vehicles
- Work independently to solve technical issues

QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Have and maintain a valid driver’s license;
- Willing to obtain a Commercial License
- Familiarity with mechanical tools
- Ability to learn EV/Hybrid mechanical skills
- Have an excellent attitude towards safety and firm adherence to safety protocols; Company operating policies, procedures, OSHA, and safety programs as established.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customers, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
