Qualifications:
Required:
BA/BS degree in a psychology related field
Or 5 years of related experience in a psychiatric service setting
BLS Certification through American Heart Association
Must successfully complete Monmouth Medical Center clinical training orientation
Annual BEST certification
Preferred:
Previous experience in a psychiatric service setting
Scheduling Requirements:
FullTime
Day Shift
36 hours/ week
Essential Functions:
Assist with procedures, examinations and consults etc., under the supervision of the RN
Assist with admissions, discharge and/or transfer procedures
Maintains ongoing observation of patients throughout the shift and reports change to the licensed staff member responsible
Obtaining patient vital signs, weights and I&Os
Patient intake (demographics and history)
Performs nursing activities under the supervision of the RN
Supervising/assisting patients with activities of daily living, encouraging appropriate behaviors
Participates in treatment team and related care plan updates.
