Job Abstract

Surgical Technician at Providence St Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. Positions will work 12-hour shifts and there may be full-time and per-diem options available.

This is a combined posting for a Surgical Technician (full-time and per-diem options available) and Lead Surgical Technician (full-time option available). The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Consideration for each role will be based on qualifications. Required qualifications:

Surgical Technician

• Graduate from Surgical Tech Program with 2 years experience as a Surgical Tech or 15 years experience as a Surgical Tech.
• 2 years of a Surgical Technician experience
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Surgical Technician, Salary Range: Min: $ 26.60, Max: $32.83

Lead Surgical Technician

• Graduate from a Surgical Tech Program or equivalent education/experience.
• 5 years of a Surgical Technician experience
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Lead Surgical Technician, Salary Range: Min: $32.19, Max: $37.86

Under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse, is responsible for surgical case preparation including allocation of appropriate surgical supplies and instrumentation and intraoperative organization of the sterile field. Facilitates the surgeons needs by passing the appropriate sutures and instrumentation. Assists with the terminal cleaning of the surgical suite/instrumentation after the procedure has ended. In addition, this position encompasses advanced skills through advanced training and knowledge to actively participate in optimal patient care and improved perioperative performance.
