Overview
Lobby Concierge is usually the first contact a visitor to the building will have with building staff, and thus the Concierge plays an important role in creating a positive first impression to visitors. The Concierge will help direct visitors and tenants to the appropriate elevators, answer questions and monitor elevator passes. This position is based at a customer location in the Rockefeller Plaza area of NYC.
Responsibilities
Greet and guide visitors to the appropriate floor and elevator bank
Runs appropriate errands for guests and picks up or delivers a variety of items
Provides a variety of business services such as shipping packages
Receive, deliver, or retrieve small parcels to/from tenants throughout the building
Support building security with screening visitors & providing building passes
Uniform worn daily (will be provided)
Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary
The wage range for this position is $16.29 - $25.31 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
Qualifications
High school degree / GED or Work equivalent required. 2 years of hotel guest services experience highly preferred
Great communication skills
Exhibits strong typing skills/or data entry skills
Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast pace, high volume environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Must have a positive attitude with the ability to remain flexible and patient
Actively participates in safety policies, activities and implementations
Great interpersonal and communication skills with clients, customers, and co-workers
