Position Description:

Senior Specialist

Reporting to the Director, the Senior Specialist Treasury Benefits Finance is responsible for providing finance support for domestic and global benefits programs and related trusts including health and welfare programs, post-retirement benefits, savings plan and deferred compensation plan.

Responsibilities include forecasting, financial analysis, accounting, reporting, compliance, and funding.

Primary Activities:

• Support the Associate Director in partnering and supporting Human Resources, Legal, Tax and local finance on strategic benefit design changes and initiatives;

• Support the develop budgeting, forecasting and the monthly/quarterly close related to over $1 billion of employee benefit expense;

• Ensure efficient and compliant funding of over $1 billion of employee benefits spend;

• Support regulatory reports for the Securities and Exchange Commission, Internal Revenue Service, and Department of Labor related to employee benefit programs and tax-qualified plans and trusts including 5500 and 990 filings;

• Provide oversight of global and domestic third-party service providers;

• Maintain adherence to internal controls

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Required Experience and Skills:

• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated work experience in an accounting or finance role.

• Must be able to work independently and accurately under time constraints

• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, project-management and collaboration skills

• Knowledge of MS Excel and ability to work with large amounts of data

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• CPA preferred

• Familiarity with accounting and financial statements preparation

• Demonstrated client facing experience

• Audit experience is a plus

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.  This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Please note, this Hybrid work model guidance also does not apply to roles that have been designated as “remote”.

Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
