Responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to ensure they meet company quality standards.
Responsibilities
-Responsible for maintaining relationships with the Operations teams to ensure production quality.
-Develop standard work for implementing in-process inspection points to ensure customer quality.
-Improve inspection programs and improvement activities. Assist in ensuring product quality and project deliverables.
-Ensure that all inspections are in place to satisfy all customer requirements.
-Conduct and record inspections as documented in quality control plans.
-Train others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures.
-Facilitate regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to support action plans for improving build quality.
-Work with Supplier Quality Assurance function to reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials on production.
-Undertake continuous training and development
-Support effective problem-solving, suggestions, small-circle activities and kaizen.
-Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
-Act as “boots-on-the-ground” quality representative.
-Provide technical expertise to the team.
-Develop and maintain positive team member relations centered on mutual trust, dignity, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, teamwork and harmony.
-Be proactive in predicting abnormalities and finding innovative solutions to correct.
Qualifications
- Required Experience
- Three years manufacturing experience
- Preferred?Experience?
- Automotive industry experience preferred, with parts production, quality or production control experience.
Travel Requirements
- Travel to support the business as required.
