ESU Full-Time Teacher of the Deaf
Burlington County Special Services School District's Educational Services Unit is seeking a Full-Time Teacher of the Deaf with one of the following NJDOE Certificates "Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing" or "Deaf or Hard of Hearing for Oral Communication" and "Deaf or Hard of Hearing for Sign Language Communication" and an Instructional Certificate in Elementary and Middle School. Public school and itinerant experience highly preferred. Experience preferred in visual phonics training. Must be able to work with students who use sign language and their residual hearing through hearing aids and /or cochlear implants. Demonstrated effective instructional experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Ability to design appropriate support strategies to help students be successful in the classroom setting.
