Job Abstract

This position will assist in setting operational, financial and patient care/clinical goals and work in a team-oriented environment. Responsible for directing and coordinating patient care and providing support for the staff of the Emergency Department. The position will also work under the direction of Stroke Program Medical Director in regards to audits and analyzing data from Code Stroke patients, order sets and discharge summaries; provides continual process improvements; coordinates Stroke Committee meetings; provides community outreach and education regarding stroke awareness and treatment; participates in stroke program network activities; maintains Stroke Program Certification and maintains all policies and procedures.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• California Registered Nurse License upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• 5 years of Acute hospital clinical experience with at least 3 years in the Emergency Department
• 2 years of Progressive managerial experience

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing
